Boo! Halloween Comes to Big Canoe and Beyond

TrunkorTreat

On October 29, celebrate a spooky night in Big Canoe with the annual Trunk or Treat event, held on the Wildcat Recreation Area field. Fun for the whole family, Trunk or Treat features a car decorating contest with cars and vehicles adorned with ghosts, goblins, monsters, and many other themes. Residents are encouraged to hand out candy and treats as little ones go trick-or-treating from car to car. Trunk or Treat will also include a costume contest, photo booth, haunted hayride, and carnival games.

All decorated vehicles require a parking pass from the Big Canoe POA, available at the Canoe Lodge. Car decorating starts at 2:00 PM, and cars must be decorated and parked on the field by 5:00 PM sharp. Dust off those vampire fangs, straighten out your favorite pointy hat, and get ready to have a blast!

And speaking of haunted hayrides, Yahoo Farm in Jasper has one for all ages that’s funny, entertaining, and spooky at the same time. Appropriate for ages 4 and up, Yahoo’s Haunted Hayride is so popular they’ve added another wagon since last year. Find them on Waleska Highway near Jasper or call 770-735-3638 for more information.

Looking for something a little scarier? Roswell Ghost Tour, just 40 minutes from the Big Canoe main gate in historic Roswell, GA, offers a walking ghost tour.
