3429 Wildcat Lodge

Rich architectural details embellish the carriage house-inspired Wildcat Lodge.  Stone, brick and hardiplank siding complement the copper eaves on the outside of the home.  Decorated in a Country French theme, the home’s interior is planned for entertaining neighbors and relatives, and even features a “friend’s entrance” for frequent visitors.  Vibrant colors run throughout Wildcat Lodge and contrast nicely with the wood found throughout the home from remarkable vaulted ceilings to unique wall treatments and pine flooring.

Premier Features:

  • An iron chandelier graces the two story grand hall of Wildcat Lodge.  From the hall, three arches mark the entrance to the unusually placed dining room which is complete with a stone fireplace and mantle with an aged black finish.  The glazed, faux finished wood walls and beamed ceiling repeat the sage green color of the hall’s arches. A grand trestle table surrounded by black chairs and oversized host chairs make this room ideal for formal entertaining.  A pair of red, hand painted Italian chests by Patina adds a spark of color to the room and a custom designed butler’s pantry resides across from the dining room.
  • Wildcat Lodge features a true Country French kitchen.  Granite countertops, rich stained cabinets and a black island provide an ideal workspace for chefs.  The breakfast room is furnished with a farmhouse table and black wicker chairs, and stone walls and French doors lead to an oversized screened porch where visitors can relax in comfortable black wicker furniture in front of the fireplace.
  • Casual elegance is the theme in the family room off of the kitchen.  Hand plastered walls remind visitors of a Tuscan sunset and dramatic fabrics in coral, gold and spring green adorn the sofa and chairs.
  • A relaxing, sophisticated retreat awaits homeowners in the master suite.  Venetian plastered walls and glazed trim, combine with the dark wood of the floor and ceiling and soft gold, green and apricot accented fabrics for an elegant display.  A fireplace with a sitting area, antique French armoire and black twisted poster bed complete the room.  The faux finishes extend into the bathroom with features including a limestone floor and matching countertops, a large built-in linen drawer and decorative columns.
  • Whimsical decor sets the mudroom and laundry room apart from the rest of the house’s more muted tones.  Red brick floors, spring green bead board and ladybugs embossed on the plaster walls make for a bright, cheery space.  A staircase leads to a dramatic guest suite over the garage.  Guests will feel like they are in a Tuscan farmhouse given the chocolate brown striped walls, stained pine wood floors and painted wood ceiling,
  • The terrace level is full of fun, from the billiards table to the full-scale custom bar with three glass-front refrigerators and two televisions.  A vintage touch has been applied to the decor, which features red and brown textiles as well as leather.  A covered porch adjacent to the bar features the home’s sixth fireplace provides a perfect vantage point for enjoying the North Georgia mountain scenery.  The terrace level also features two guest bedrooms, the first of which has a distinct cottage feel with red and white fabrics, a twig canopy poster bed and a yellow Italian chest.  Trout fishing is the inspiration for the second bedroom’s decoration.  Pine furniture, fishing lures and window treatments hung from fishing rods complete the room.
  • Do-It-Yourself projects will be a breeze in the downstairs workshop which features pegboard walls for tool storage and stained concrete floors for easy clean-up.  And, the gardening enthusiast will enjoy the potting room conveniently located by an exit to the home’s heavily wooded backyard.
